Renewal period: Biennial.
Provider approval: The Board does pre-approve course providers.
We are a pre-approved course provider with the State of Maryland, listed under Global PDH, LLC.
Approved Content: The course requirements are as follow:
A total of 24 PDH hours.
A minimum of 18 PDH hours in Category A programs,
including a minimum of 1 PDH hours in content areas related to the standards of
practice or care, laws and regulations applicable to the practice of engineering in Maryland,
or professional engineering ethics;
and A maximum of 6 PDH hours in Category B programs.
The entire 24 PDH hours may be credited in Category A.
Course Contents are divided into Category A and B.
Engineering and science topics, laws and rules applicable to the practice of
engineering in Maryland, ethics in professional engineering, Any program with a
clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve or expand the skills and
knowledge relevant to the licensee's field of practice. Subject matter which is
technical in nature or addresses business management practices, professional
ethics, quality assurance, codes or other similar topics which facilitate the licensee's
professional development as a professional engineer or serves to safeguard life,
health, and property and promote the public welfare.
Any course with a clear purpose in developing communication skills, writing skills,
business or government administration, personnel management skills, anything that
improves a licensee's method of practice and operation in engineering.
